Jay Greer is a veteran of the financial services industry. In his over 30 years of experience, he has worked everywhere from boutique investment firms to Northwestern Mutual before becoming an independent, fee-only advisor. In founding his firm, Jay sought to provide clients with a more personalized approach to money management. That’s why he opened the company in the heart of downtown Grand Haven, so clients can stop by whenever they like.

Jay has dedicated his career to helping investors who don’t have the time, desire or tools to manage their own money. As their financial partner, he not only builds custom investment strategies, but he provides clients with the education so they understand how those strategies work. As a Partner of Blue Water Asset Management, (a locally owned registered investment advisory in Grand Rapids, Michigan), Jay connects clients to industry-leading resources and investment opportunities. By uniting the power of both companies, he helps clients enhance their financial independence.

A graduate of Central Michigan University, Jay earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Actively involved in his community, he has served as President of two large non-profits with global and local reach. From providing underprivileged children with free education, access to new parks, and even supplying kids in Honduras with clean water, Jay is thrilled to work with such effective charities. Outside of the office, he looks forward to spending time with his family and enjoying the great outdoors.
